That's terribly odd. When I tried to summon the horse, my unicorn just turned right up. It was so abrupt it almost startled me a little.

Oh, and the horn broke when I was through with it. Did yours break? If it's still whole, perhaps it didn't work.

I'll bet now it's not letting you summon your horse because you refuse to admit it's yours.
