Dear Rosella,
I wanted to give you a bit of light so you need not fear the dark. All you must do is plug it in. The little wheel on the cord can change how bright it is to your liking. It will not burn your apartment down, I promise.
May you find future rest more easily.
Sincerely,
Alucard

Dear Alucard,
I've had reason to thank you so many times before now that merely thanking you again didn't seem like nearly enough, so please accept this small token of my own in return for the light. The Bard's works are not common in Daventry, but I had a rare copy when I was a girl and I wore it to pieces, sitting in the branches of my favorite tree and reading it over and over.
That poor old tree is long destroyed now, but my fond memories aren't. I do hope you'll love them as much as I always have.
Always,
Rosella
voice; un: glint
[ It's Glint's voice that comes over the line, stretching out her name so it's more like a sing-song. Rose-elll-aaaah. ]
I wanted to check in with you, considering all these spooky transformations I've been hearing about, and see if you were all right!
no subject
[FABRIC RUSTLES, AGGRESSIVELY. When it eventually ceases, the faint sound of wind blowing over the microphone can be heard.]
There! Did I get it? Hello! Can you hear me?
no subject
[ Curious little Ghost is curious. ]

[...]
Well — I suppose it's not so much my unicorn as it is a unicorn that's rather sort of...wound up mine. I haven't any good place to keep it, and I'd feel awful turning it loose with all the monsters about. So I've been making do as best I can while I try to figure something out.
no subject
You have a UNICORN?
[ Glint absolutely yelled that into the phone. There's a moment where it's quiet and then Glint speaks again, in a much more normal tone of voice. He's still clearly excited. ]
Can I come see it? I can do some research on Unicorn care!!
no subject
Of course you may! Actually, I have to admit I'd quite welcome the help. I don't know much about how to take care of a unicorn, so I've really just been treating him like a horse and, well, hoping for the best.

[ Glint is half mumbling to himself before he perks up in volume again. ]
But, never mind that! Where are you two right now, I'll come say hi!
no subject
[For someone's given value of home, anyway.]
There ought to be a way you can find me through this communicator, isn't there? If I hit the proper button? And it'll send you a signal of where I am.
no subject
[ It takes Glint a moment but he gives Rosella the instructions on how to create a location pin. ]
I do know where that is in general, so I'll start heading over!
[ And get Crow to come with him. ]
no subject
[As one might expect from a big ol' Real Actual Unicorn trotting around with a princess on its back.]

I used the item that you had before. Made the purchase for myself and whatnot. So I thought to try to summon the damned creature, and it's nowhere to be seen.
no subject
Oh, and the horn broke when I was through with it. Did yours break? If it's still whole, perhaps it didn't work.
no subject
How far from you was the unicorn?
no subject
Is there any chance your horse is too stubborn to come when called?
no subject
Well. If you see the damned thing, let me know, won't you?
no subject
I'll bet now it's not letting you summon your horse because you refuse to admit it's yours.

➵ DELIVERY | DECEMBER 25th
The letter is as follows:]
Princess Rosella of Daventry,
I hope you're doing well! And I realize I have no idea if you celebrate this Christmas thing at all, but I like making things for people. So please enjoy these cookies, and I hope you have a wonderful day. You've been nothing but friendly and kind with me, and I'd like to continue to get to know you as well.
Sincerely,
Ashe

The second is a painting, a scene that Rosella may recall to be familiar.
Both of their parents at a dining table, smiling and eating together. Graham looking noble but jolly, Valanice poised perfect with a content smile. Lisa is much more coy than the rest, and Dracula more subtle with his expression, but his hand is over his wife's tenderly to show his warmth.
And a card:]
My dear Rosella,
I hope it is not too bold to write that to you. "My dear." But it does seem fitting. You have constantly been the steady companion in my life since being here, and we have shared many things. I wish to continue to share more with you, if you will have me.
Vesel Krampusnoapte,
Alucard.
[Action, no need to reply unless you want!]
The box contains a selection of biscotti (vanilla; orange and chocolate; and coconut, pistachio, and fennel) that are shockingly not bad as long as they're dipped in one's hot drink of choice first.
